The Process

As we receive donations, we begin the process of ordering gloves! The price of each glove varies depending on the size and type. Our gloves are made in Houston, Texas.

What makes Love for Leather unique is the ability to fully customize each glove. From leather and lace colors to the webbing, every glove we design is different from the rest.

A key part of the design process is the ability to add personalized stitching to the glove. Each glove will feature scripture stitched into the thumb side, where it will boldly stand out. Just like the glove’s physical features, each one will be distinct.

The glove is just the doorway to sharing God’s love. Along with each glove, we will provide contextual information about the scripture, explaining its significance and how the recipient can learn more about Jesus. This ensures that every time the glove is used, the wearer knows exactly who they are representing and who will always be by their side.

The most important service Love for Leather offers is the opportunity to know Jesus. The glove and scripture will serve as the catalyst for discovering the true love found in Jesus. To deepen that knowledge, we will also provide Bibles with every glove, so the recipient’s understanding goes beyond a single verse.

In July 2025, our first donations will be sent out. Our team will travel to Villa Altagracia, Dominican Republic, where we will connect with over 50 aspiring baseball players. Villa Altagracia serves as a training center for young players hoping to be scouted for Major League Baseball. Many of these young men walk miles just to practice and receive coaching. We hope to provide each of them with a new glove and introduce them to a new friend in Jesus to walk alongside them on their journey.

Each year, the destinations of our giving will change as we continue to follow God’s calling to spread His Word around the world.

Note: Love for Leather does not cover the costs of travel or other expenses associated with this initiative. All funds raised are used strictly for purchasing gloves, Bibles, and care package items (cardboard boxes, print products, etc.).

As we bless others through Love for Leather, we also want you to be blessed. If you'd like to connect with these young athletes personally, we have an opportunity for you to do so.

We want every care package to include a written or typed letter of encouragement. As believers, we know that community and support are vital in our walk with Christ, and we want these athletes to feel that support beyond just the glove.
